Alan takes Bann Valley race win

BANN Valley Road Club's first GMC Electrical road race of the season took place last Tuesday, on the Ballynease circuit.

A record number of 59 riders signed on and were set off in four groups. All the groups rode well and didn’t merge at all, however the handicap brought all to within a few seconds of each other at the finish.

The winner was Alan Blair (Ballymena Road Club) who took the sprint from Stephen Walsh (Carn Wheelers) with his club mate R O'Connor in third.

Following the AWT Refrigeration 10 mile TT on the Kilrea Road tonight (Tuesday) the next round of the GMC Electrical RR league will be on the Gortmacrane course in Kilrea on Tuesday 18th May.

The Club would like to thank the large number of marshals and those who drove the lead cars on the night, their help was invaluable.
