ATT club hosts Mid-Antrim championships

A Team Tennis Club recently hosted the Mid-Antrim Junior Championships for children in the U8, U9 & U14 boys and Girls age categories.

It was a very successful event organised by Alexis Russell (ATT co-owner and tennis director) with great support from club members volunteering over the weekend.

The tournament attracted some of the best players in Ulster and Ireland in their respective age groups who put on a great display of high quality tennis and sportsmanship!

Winners of the various cateories were: U14 Boys Singles Champion, Alexandros Stergiopoulos from Donegal; U14 Girls Singles Champion, Amber Young, from Downshire Club; U14 Boys Singles R-Up Matthew Saunders from ATT Club; U14 Girls Singles R-Up, Amberlie Collins from Dundalk Club; U14 Boys Doubles Champions Alexandros Stergiopoulos (Donegal) & Caolan McCarroll (ATT); U14 Boys Doubles Runners Up Josh Cree (Hawarden) & Matthew Saunders (ATT); U14 Girls Doubles Champions Amber Young (Downshire) & Isabella Connor(Belfast Boat Club); U14 Girls Doubles Runners Up Niamh Campbell (ATT) & Kathryn Gaw (ATT); U9s boys competition, Won by Ace Rodriguez! (Donegal).
