Basement side Clough record first win in Churches League

The village side has laboured at the foot of the table all season, scoring just four points from their opening 12 matches.

They doubled that tally in one fell swoop, however, after taking four points from Cullybackey Methodist ‘B’ - the team directly above them - to give them fresh hope of avoiding finishing in last spot.

At the opposite end of the league standings, meanwhile, Buckna are back on top of the table in a title race that has been full of twists and turns.

They were pushed hard by First Broughshane but produced an emphatic display to take all five points from Ballymena Methodist.
