After a frantic first round, Donnelly led on two of the three judges cards.

The second round went the same way for Donnelly as both fighters gave it their all.

Bur Donnelly holds on in the third to make it through to the next round.

Donnelly also impressed on his Olympic debut last Sunday after recording a convincing victory over Algeria’s Zahir Kedache.

No Irish boxers are in action Friday, but the team are facing into a busy weekend with Brendan Irvine, Michael Conlan and Katie Taylor out on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
