Carniny Youth are also delighted to announce the new session of their Football Development centre is to commence in September.

The sessions will now be based around the Coerver Coaching methods and Coerver Coaching Ulster Director, Austin Speight will be acting as the lead coach every week.

Interest is expected to be high for this excellent opportunity and those interested so make contact as soon as possible as spaces will be limited.

All at Carniny Amateur and Youth FC would like to pass on their sincere condolences to Coach and Committee member Stephen Armstrong on the recent passing of his mother, Maureen.

Maureen was also grandmother to former player Jake Armstrong and wife to club photographer, Trevor Armstrong.

The club’s thoughts are with Stephen, Lesley, Jake, Robbie and Trevor at this sad time.

As always the club are continually providing access to not only the IFA Coaching ladder but also other coaching programmes for all the club coaches.

The club will be processing 10 young aspiring coaches on the first rung of the coaching ladder over the next few months.

The club are also delighted to provide six coaches with the opportunity to attend a Coerver Youth Diploma Course.

If you think you would like to progress through the coaching ladder please make contact with the club. The club particularly welcomes interest from young, enthusiastic, aspiring coaches.

In another development within the club, Carniny are introducing their coaches to Futsal.

Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided football game that is widely played across the world and is officially recognised by both UEFA and FIFA.

The nature of the game places a large emphasis on technical skill and ability in situations of high pressure, and is subsequently an excellent breeding ground for football competencies that can be translated into the 11-a-side format of the game.

Many of the top world class footballers played Futsal in their youth and credit it with supporting their footballing development; players of the calibre of Pele, Zico, Ronaldinho, Kaka, Lionel Messi to name but a few of the South American legends all played and enjoyed Futsal.

The club will be hosting a Futsal session for all club coaches which will be delivered by the IFA’s Jonny Michael on August 20.

Coaching and Player Opportunities

As always Carniny are always on the look out for new players and coaches and backroom staff for the club. If any players or potential coaches out there are interested in becoming a part of the club’s set up they are most welcome to make contact.

Players will be invited to open training sessions.
