The change had come as a result of several of the fairways and greens being unplayable owing to the adverse weather conditions.

The new-look 13-hole competition saw the second, third, 10th, 12th and 13th holes being taken out with the remainder of the course constituting the 13 holes.

The winner of the sweep was Paul Creevy (19) with a total of 33 stableford points.

Paul played the course in seven over gross and he scored eight three-pointers to win by a single point, having scored 11 points over the final five holes.

Second place was taken by Gordon Bell (12) who scored a total of 32 points, having played the course in three over gross.

His final five holes produced 13 of his total points.

Catgeory one was won by Paul Stevenson (7) with a total of 31 points, having scored 10 pars plus a dropped shot apiece on the 15th and 17th, one of which he retrieved with a birdie on the fifth.

Category two saw WAH Montgomery (11) come out on top with a total of 31 points, of which 12 came from the final five holes.

In total he had eight pars, four bogeys plus a birdie at the 14th.

Lawrence Kerr (16) was the top scorer in category three with a total of 31 points and hie final five holes yielded 12 points.

Kerr scored six pars, five bogeys plus a birdie on the ninth, meaning a ‘ding’ on the par four eighth did not alter his position in the final standings.

The final category was won by Robert McMullan with an overall total of 30 points, of which 11 came from the final four holes after having had a triple bogey six on the par three 14th.

Robert, playing off a 21 handicap, managed to register a total of four pars plus seven bogeys and a double bogey on the sixth during his round.
