Academy cricketers get into top gear!

BALLYMENA Academy First XI Cricket squad got "into gear" last week when they were presented with new shirts and hoodies by Peter McKelvey of RED Driving School.

The squad has been training for the coming season since January and is now all set for a full programme of league, cup and friendly fixtures.

Captain Fergus Taylor was delighted to receive the new kit from the team sponsor and hopes that the team's "driving" will be as good in matches as it is on the road.

RED Driving School is one of the UK's fastest growing national driving schools and has helped thousands of people pass their driving test with the minimum of fuss and hassle.

Peter McKelvey is Ballymena's local RED Approved Driving Instructor.

As a former pupil of Ballymena Academy, Peter is delighted to be sponsoring the First XI.

"I hope that this partnership will help to establish strong links between Ballymena Academy and RED Driving School and I wish the First XI well in all their matches this season,” he added.
