Darts league titles could be decided this Friday night

The Ballymena, Harryville and District Darts League resumes this Friday night with league fixtures on the agenda, and the destination of both Divisions could be settled.

Ballee 1 need 7 points to guarantee the second division trophy irrespective of Michelin and Pattons results.

In the top flight, Drifters need 3 points more than Greenhills to seal another league crown.

There were two outstanding matches played last Friday night, in two different competitions.

DIVISION ONE

The Coach 7, Thatch Inn 1: Thatch looked in decent shape wih the match score at 1-1, but The Coach took a firm grip of third place with this strong win. W

ell done Paul Rock 2-0 (23,23) with the win for Thatch Inn.

The Coach winners this week were Ashley Rainey 2-0 (21,19), Daniel Thompson 2-0, Adrian Rouke 2-0, Ryan Gault 2-0, David Martin 2-0, Denis Gault 2-0 (17) and Colin Reid 2-0. Star player - Ashley Rainey.

MS CUP PRELIMINARY ROUND

Cosy Corner 4, Bowling Club 5: Bowling Club win through to the first round proper, and unfortunately Cosy Corner now sit out the remainder of the competition.

Cosy Corner winners were Stephen Purdon 2-0, Irene Lowry 2-0, Nicholas Mitchell 2-1 and Andy Higgins 2-0.

Bowling Club move to the main draw thanks to wins from Paul Barr 2-1, Joseph McDermott 2-1, Kate Lynn 2-0, Jordan Barr 2-0 and Richard Campbell 2-0. Star player - Paul Barr.
