The last junior competition of the season for the Colm Lagan cup saw C. McNally win with 2 trout for 2lb 8ozs, with runner up M.Nelson with 1 trout for 1lb 11ozs, congratulations to all.

Further competition dates, the Committee Cup will be fished along with the re-run of the Clady & District Cup on Saturday 4th September, followed by the W. Evans Cup on the 18th September, both starting at 10am.

River levels have been quite low for most of the summer although a few small rises in July seen a few grilse run the river and gave good sport to some anglers.

A hoped for further rise in river levels would enable more fish to run from the river Bann. Visiting anglers are reminded that day ticket permits are available from Fullans supermarket, Portglenone.
