Drifters show league newcomers no mercy in Charity Cup

The Broughshane Street side lost 8-1 to multiple league champions Drifts in the opening round of the Charity Cup, with John Greer preventing the whitewash.

Unfortunately since team registration at the beginning of August, two further teams - Ladysmith and Social Club - have withdrawn from the league.

For all teams’ information, Fairhill Bar have moved premises to The Diamond Bar, Ahoghill and are now known as The Diamond.

Best individual performances this week were 15 darts by Davy Martin and Geoff Wylie, 16s Geoff McIlveen x2, Darnell McCrory, 19s Justin Cushenan, Chris Penny, Rab Lynn, 20s John Robinson, Barry Kernohan, Davy McConaghie, 21s Tam Wallace, Alwyn McCosh, Gary Scott.

Roy Gilchrist (Clough Rangers) had the week’s best finish with a 140 checkout, followed 110 Geoff Wylie (Drifters), 99 Steven Eaton (The Diamond), 83 (Bull) Alan Service (BT/PO)
