The Eaton Park supremo was thrilled as his side opened their Ulster Bank All-Ireland League Division 1B campaign with a 20-0 win over Corinthians on Saturday.

“I couldn’t have asked for anything more from our players in terms of their work-rate and commitment,” Graham told Times Sport.

“That was the first time I have really seen us gel in that way and their was a real confidence from the players in themselves and each other.

“It was certainly a great start for us to get a win under our belts in the first game but there are definitely things we can improve on.

“Our lineout didn’t function all that well and we had a few problems in the scrum but they are things we will work on.”

Ballymena continue their AIL campaign this Saturday when they make the short journey to Deramore to face Belfast Harlequins.

“By all accounts Harlequins were unfortunate not to beat UL Bohemians in Limerick, which would have ben some result, so it’s a tough game for us.

“It will probably take about a month for the division to take shape and to see who the really strong teams are going to be so we will try to build on Saturday’s win,” added Graham, who may have Ian Caldwell and James Gallagher available for selection for this weekend.
