Edward saves day for equestrian event

IRISH showjumping star Edward Doyle earned himself a new army of fans in Mid-Antrim last week.

Doyle stepped into the breach as special guest after Jessica Kurten's long-awaited return to her home town had to be axed as the showjumping superstar was ill.

Edward drove from Punchestown to ensure that the event, organised by Mid-Antrim Hunt supporters, would go ahead as planned and he proved himself to be a charming and entertaining speaker.

Although the evening was not the big fundraiser that had been anticipated with Jessica, there was a very good turnout of 128 people and Edward, Conor and compere Raymond Brady did the event proud and the organisers have thanked them for their assistance.
