Coaches Paul and Mandi Timperley are delighted with these funding awards which are being used to benefit many children in multiple communities and help educate teenage and adult volunteers in sports coaching and development via Sport NI Clubmark Accreditation.

Senior Coach Paul comments; “ On behalf of all our students, families, coaches and volunteer assistants I wish to sincerely thank councillors involved at Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council in supporting and providing funding for our clubs recently which has helped us to buy a full range of new and essential equipment for our students. The funding has been put to very good use in recent months in helping to run a community First Aid Course for the children and our Volunteer Assistants, and also our recent National Course weekend in the Antrim Forum.

“I feel it is of the utmost importance for us all not to lose sight of the fact that ‘the children, youth and their families’ of the communities we share should be one of everyone’s top priorities in their day to day work. The funding provided by Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council has helped us to buy equipment which will help to sustain our clubs for many years to come,” he added.
