But the striker’s latest goal was a bit unusual - because he was playing as a goalkeeper at the time!

With regular stopper Ryan Armstrong called up to Wakehurst’s first team, Quigley volunteered to go between the posts - and duly beat his opposite number wth a long clearance.

However, it still wasn’t enough to prevent Jason Connolly’s side from exiting the Linda Welshman Memorial Cup as they lost 3-2 at home to Larne Olympic.

Larne went in front after Keith Hall scored on the 17th minute then Quigley’s magic moment saw the teams level on the 29th minute.

Shaun McGoran put Larne back in front on the 55th minute only to see David Calderwood score the equaliser for Wakehurst on the 57th minute. After this both teams kept going for goals with Jonathan McManus scoring the winner for Larne on the 76th minute.

1st Carrickferus OB 3, Clough Rangers Athletic 4: Carrick got off to a great start with Ryan Clawson scoring on the 4th minute putting them in front. Clough replied with Ricky Robinson equalising on the 9th minute then going in front after Robinson scored his second goal on the 18th minute.

As half-time was approaching Clough conceded an own goal on the 42nd minute leaving the teams tied at the break. Clough went in front again after William Dunlop scored on the 60th minute then Carrick hit back with Clawson scoring on the 65th minute.

With extra time looming Clough were awarded a penalty on the 89th minute which Colin Stewart converted to take Clough into the next Round.
