Brian puts best foot forward for charity fund-raising walk

United Sales and Marketing Executive Brian Thompson will undertake his first ‘Walk of Hope’ fund-raiser ahead of this Saturday’s game at Carrick Rangers.

Brian has decided to mark his personal milestone of 20 years’ involvement with Irish League football by aliginging himself to the work of two charities - Bravehearts NI and the National Deaf Children’s Society

“Over the next 18 – 24 months I will be organising a number of events and activities,” explains Brian.

“However the main focus of this activity will be “The Walk of Hope”. The Walk of Hope will see an attempt to walk from Ballymena Showgrounds to every other Irish Premier League ground, some Championship grounds and other major sporting venues such Ravenhill, Down Royal, North West 200.

“The main focus of the Walk of Hope will be in August, September and October however the first Walk of Hope will be to Taylor’s Avenue ground on April 16th.

“Carrick Rangers were recipients of a defibrillator by Bravehearts NI this season. One of the aims of the charity is to have a defibrillator at as many sporting venues as possible.”

Brian aims to arrive at Taylor’s Avenue around 2pm this Saturday. All support would be welcomed.
