Carniny sorrow at passing of ex-player Darren

All at Carniny Amateur and Youth FC would like to express their sincere condolences to the family of Darren Rodgers who lost his life last week in a tragic accident in France whilst out supporting Northern Ireland at the European Championships.

Darren was a player at the club right through from mini soccer to Under 17 level, a likeable young lad, always with a smile on is face.

Darren will be sorely missed in local footballing circles.

OPEN TRAINING/TRIALS

Carniny 2007s and 2005s are holding open trials/training sessions this week to recruit players.

Both teams will host a session on Wed 22nd June at Ballymena Showgrounds 3G at 7-8pm. The 07s, next years Under10s are on the look out for players for their Maiden City Cup Tournament squad which takes place at the stat of July and also for their two squad who will be playing in the North West and Coleraine District Youth League next season.

The 05s next seasons Under 12s are also recruiting for their Foyle Cup Tournament Squad and their South Belfast Youth League squad for next season.

COACHING/PLAYER OPPORTUNITIES

As always Carniny Amateur and Youth FC are currently on the look out for enthusiastic aspiring coaches to join their progressive local football club.

The club are particularly interested in recruiting coaches for their Football Development Centre currently catering for children born in 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009 and 2009.

Coaches will have the opportunity to achieve Coerver Coaching Diploma award and will also be progressed by the club through the Irish FA Coaching ladder.

Coaches will be fully funded on their coaching courses with all club coaches progressed on the IFA Coaching ladder and also funding available for Coerver Coaching Diplomas.

Coach mentoring and full support will be given to all coaches under the eye of an ‘A’ Licensed coach throughout their time at the club. If you think you can out something back into football and our club please make contact with the club at [email protected] or contact 07850669666.
