Carniny Youth 2, Ballymena United 0: This game is always a good spectacle for the town and a good crowd turned out in terrible weather. Carniny had the better of Ballymena in the last tow encounters and they were looking to make it three in a row to maintain their local bragging rights.

The game started well for Carniny and just before the half ended Holland was unlucky when he had his effort cleared off the line .

In the second half the game was more evenly contested. As Carniny were tiring and with White and Groocock missing on the day, the game began to open up. Ballymena began to apply more pressure and if it wasn’t for the heroics of NcNicholl, Ballymena could have scored on two occasions.

The deadlock was finally broken when Scullion was brought down in the box, he scrambled to his feet and poked the ball in from close range to make it 1-0.

Carniny Youth 0, Coleraine 4: On Friday evening Carniny U17s played Coleraine U17s at the Showgrounds in Ballymena in the NIBFA Subway Elite National league.
