Carniny Youth FC round-up: Youngest teams catch the eye

CARNINY Youth Under 9s and 10s continue to impress up in Coleraine, receiving plaudits from league officials for their style of play in the North West and Coleraine District Youth League despite not receiving the results their efforts deserved.

It was the Under 10s’ turn this week giving second place Dungiven a scare losing out by the odd goal in nine despite a Taylor Adger hat trick.

The Under 11s kept their league campaign on track down in Lisburn staying unbeaten in their last 10 league games with a win over Portadown Youth.

In other games the Under 14s battled out a goal less draw with Glenavon, whilst the Under 13s fell to Linfield. The Under 15s had a free week.

This Saturday will be an exciting weekend for local teams with two derby matches on offer with the Under 14s taking on North End Utd Youth and the U15s taking on Ballymena Utd YA.

The under 11s and 12s will have free weeks this Saturday with the school transfer tests taking priority over the next few weeks
