Carniny Youth suffer wipeout of weekend fixtures

The entire Carniny club were left disappointed last weekend when none of their scheduled games survived the wintry conditions.

Even the scheduled games on 3G surfaces failed to beat the weather as the Province bore the brunt of some of the worst conditions of recent years.

It made for a frustrating morning and afternoon for the club’s youth teams and the Amateurs’ senior team, whose Amateur League fixture also fell foul of the elements.

The Carniny boys will be hoping to return to action this weekend with the younger teams playing in the North West and Coleraine District Youth League again after their extended winter break.

The Under 11s will hope to see action again in the Lisburn Youth League whilst the Under 12s are scheduled to be playing Larne Youth in the NIBFA Cup.

In the NIBFA Subway National League both the Under-13s and under-17s are scheduled to play Linfield this weekend whilst the Under 15s take on another Irish League Academy side in Glentoran.

The Under 14s are due to be in NIBFA Cup action against Rosario.

Matches involving Carniny Youth sides this Saturday, January 24, are:

U10 Youth v TBC NWCDYL

U10 Amateurs v TBC NWCDYL

U11 Youth v Antrim Rovers

U11 Amateurs v TBC NWCDYL

U12 v Larne Youth NIBFA Cup HOME

U13 v Linfield AWAY National League

U14 v Rosario HOME NIBFA Cup
