Carniny Youth teams set for big kick-off

ALL seven of Carniny's 11 a side teams will see competitive action shortly when all their respective leagues commence this week.

First up will be the Under 14s who will take on Crumlin Colts at home in the National League on Wednesday (1st) evening with a 6.45pm ko at Galgorm.

Also in action on the Wednesday night are the Under15s who will start their National League campaign against Antrim side, Chimney Corner that match will also ko at 6.45pm at Ballykeel. Both teams would welcome your support.

Saturday 4th September is the official start date for the National League with the majority matches taking place at Mallusk Playing fields in what is a full day of youth football at the venue with some of the Province’s top teams on show.

The Under 12s will take their first steps into the National League, having progressed from the South Belfast Youth league, which they competed in last season. The young guns will take on Warrenpoint Town at Mallusk.

The Under 13s will also play but their opponents have yet to be confirmed. The Under 14s and 15s will play their second matches of the League at Mallusk when they are paired against St Mary’s and Limavady Youth respectively. The under 16s are the only National League team not in action at Mallusk and they will travel to Derry to take on Tristar.

The club’s two youngest teams will also start their league campaigns when the South Belfast Youth League also gets underway. The under 10s will get their first ever taste of 11 a side competitive action when they take on Springfield Star whilst the Under 11’s will compete against Aquinas, in what will be their second competitive season in the SBYL.

The club would also like to wish their former players and indeed the whole team of the newly amalgamated Ballymena United Under 17s as they too start their league campaign in the Lisburn Youth League against Shankill Youth.
