EX-PLAYER WATCH

The past week has certainly proved one thing in local football, that Carniny Youth must be doing something right with the number of young players coming off their ‘production’ line into the top flight of football both locally and nationally.

It started in midweek when former Carniny starlet Josh Carson scored the winning penalty for York City in their Capital One Cup shoot out with Bradford City.

Saturday past was also a memorable one for the club with FOUR former players taking part in the Ballymena United v Coleraine ‘derby’.

As Matt Shevlin, Kyle Crawford and Leroy Millar (all ex Carniny) lined up for the Sky Blues another former ‘Youth’ top goal scorer, Rodney Brown ended up on the side of eventual winners with the Bannsiders.
