Jimmy Alexander, Rowly Woods, Tommy Crooks and Lyle McQuitty had a very close game with H Linton on rink 4.

The first half of the game was a low scoring affair and after 9 ends the visitors held a slender one shot lead. The Braid men appeared to have wrapped up the game when they scored 10 unanswered shots over the next 4 ends to lead by 15 shots to 6 but the visitors had not read the script when they outscored the Ballymena rink by 11 shots to 1 to lead by a shot with only one end remaining.

The final end however built well for the Braid foursome who claimed 2 shots to win by 18 shots to 17.
