Henry hat-trick seals Waveney win

WAVENEY Youth FC travelled to Ballyclare to play Larne Youth Academy on Saturday looking to improve their league position as the season nears an end.

Inside the first 10 minutes of the match they were 2-0 up with 2 well taken goals from Ryan Corrigan.

The first when he ran onto a great defence splitting pass from Nico Dunlop and the second coming from a through ball from Michael Balmer.

The Larne Youth team showed some resistance as Waveney pushed for the third and managed to hold out keeping the score 2-0 at half time.

Waveney brought on Matthew Henry and Casey Mills at half time and what an impact Matthew Henry was to have on this game. He scored his first and the teams third 10 minutes into the second half when he shot home from inside the box.

A Michael Balmer cross was headed home by Matthew again to make the score 4-0 after 55 mins.

Michael Balmer added the fifth and Matthew completed his hat-trick five minutes from the end to leave the final scoreline 6-0.
