Henry has had links with the club since its formation in the year 2000 but this is the first time he has taken on a managerial role at the Amateurs.

Well known and respected in footballing circles Henry is a former Ballymena United player who also played junior football for Harryville Amateurs, Broadway Celtic, FC Penarol, Raceview, Galgorm Blues and Carniny Rangers whom he took to several league titles as manager.

Carniny Amateurs will again play junior football this season in what will hopefully be the next step in a rebuilding process.

The local club endured a difficult season last year in their first season in Division 2C of the Amateur League.

All at Carniny Amateurs wish Henry well and he will be ably assisted by backroom staff including Anthony McCartney, Lee Barry and Stephen Armstrong.
