The current Ballymena Saturday Morning league leaders take on York Road Loughside in the semi-final of the Coca-Cola Cup - the most prestigious competition in junior football in Northern Ireland - at Dixon Park, Ballyclare (7.30pm).

Despite being a Belfast-based side, Homers’ opponents play in Junior Division Two of the Ballymena & Provincial League.

Like Homers in the Saturday Morning League, York Road boast a 100 per cent league record in their division so a fascinating contest lies in store.

Despite the counter-attraction of the Manchester ‘derby’ on television, Homers won’t be short on support, with a 52-seater coach leaving Ken’s car park at 6pm sharp.

Full coverage of the match will appear on the Ballymena Times website on Tuesday morning and also in next week’s paper.
