Homers boss Duddy lands McDonald’s coach award

Harryville Homers Coach Robert Duddy receives his Regional Volunteer of the Year Award from Pat Jennings, Malcolm Roberts (McDonalds awards coordinator IFA) and McDonalds Ballymena Restaurant Manager Kade O'Reilly.

The Harryville Homers manager has been named Regional Coach of the Year Award as part of the McDonald’s Irish FA Regional Community Awards which celebrate local grassroots footballing heroes, for the great work they do in supporting their local clubs.

Robert recently received his award from Northern Ireland goalkeeping legend and McDonald’s Head of Northern Ireland Football, Pat Jennings.

Robert has been recognised for his stunning work in helping Harryville Homers to win the Irish Junior Cup for the second year in succession.

Robert will now attend McDonald’s Irish FA National Community Awards taking place in November at Belfast City Hall, where they will join other nominees for the opportunity to win a national award.

Speaking about the awards, Pat jennings said: “I love the opportunity each year to travel throughout Northern Ireland to present Regional Community Awards to hardworking, committed and passionate local grassroots heroes who do so much for local communities.

“The McDonald’s Irish FA Community Awards is our way of saying thank you to the coaches, clubs and volunteers who give up their time to help young footballers across Northern Ireland to shine.”
