The Sky Blues were beaten 4-3 by Ards on Saturday and Jeffrey says he may strengthen if he can.

“We have until August 31 but to be honest we have had some turnover already.

“We are always reassessing the squad but you can’t bring that amount of bodies in and I am pleased with the way people we have brought in have performed.

“Johnny McMurray, Kyle Owens and Cathair Friel.

“They have all done well but on varying occasions individuals have made errors which have punished us collectively.

“And at this moment in time there was no balling, there was no shouting, there was no finger pointing.

“There is no point doing that because that would lead to a whole negativity and a blame culture. The reality is I am the manager and the buck stops with me. End of story.”

And Jeffrey says he has laid down a challenge to his players.

“Their performances are the evidence of how good a player you are. Your results and your performances are evidence of how good you are. And it up to them to deliver.”
