Northend boys make flying start at Foyle Cup

Northend United Youth sides enjoyed a memorable opening day at the Hughes Insurance Foyle Cup on Monday.

The Ballymena club are represented this year by an U10 and U13 team who are both making their debuts in the competition.

But there were no signs of any nerves as the Blues sides produced some outstanding results, with the under-10s winning their opening two games, beating East Donegal Colts 3-0 and St Oliver Plunkett Colts 3-2.

The under-13s were also in impressive form, thrashing Shankill Colts 7-0.
