As the season draws to an end, two of the Northend U9 teams were involved in a small sided games tournament at the Showgrounds, organised by the Club's Football Development Officer, John Devlin.

Featuring eight overall teams, including two from Ballymena Academy, two from Carniny, two from host club Northend United and one each from Antrim Rovers and Whitehead Eagles, the tournament was a huge success, played before a sizeable group of parents and spectators.

The tournament was highly enjoyed by all with some outstanding football on display, a number of well taken goals and some great goal-keeping.

Northend would like to extend their thanks to the Irish FA’s Mid and East Antrim Grassroots Coach, Michael McClean for attending the tournament and giving his seal of approval on another well organised competition.
