It’s not every team that can claim they beat the quality of Irish League Academy sides, Coleraine and Ballymena United in one day – but that’s exactly what the Northend Blues U10s achieved on Saturday.

The Derby win over Ballymena United was all the more special in that it allowed Northend to finish off runners-up in the Premier section of the NWCDYL League.

Also in the NWCDYL League, the U9s had a good weekend, beating Portrush and Dungiven to finish off runners-up in the Challenge League in the North West.

Newly crowned League Champions, the U12s, finished off a good week in the Belfast and East Antrim Youth League, beating Cavehill Colts 5-0 at Dunfane.

The U13s were also in dominant form, following up on their recent good form with a resounding 5-0 win over Belfast side Loughside.

In the National League, the U14s continued with their recent good form before finally losing 3-2 to Glenavon.
