Northend United Youth FC round-up: Successful golf day and another trophy in bag!

IN another great week of football for the Northend Blues, it was the turn of their U12 team to add to this season’s silverware for the Club by being crowned League Champions at the weekend, beating a good Ballyclare Colts team 3-0 on Saturday morning.

Elsewhere in the Belfast and East Antrim League, the U13s turned in two impressive performances during the week, beating League leaders, St. Andrews, 2-0 on Monday night in their own backyard while also beating Carnmoney Colts 4-2 at Smithfield on Saturday.

In the NWCDYL league the U9s beat Ballymoney U9s 1-0 in a League match and the U10s lost their Cup match to Coleraine Academy by a one goal margin, conceded in the last minute of the match.

On Friday night, the next Northend team off the conveyor belt, the U8s, made their debuts at the Ballymoney Friendship League in an excellent night’s football, with some outstanding performances on the night.

In a packed week for the Northend Blues, their Annual Golf Fundraising Day was held on Sunday at Galgorm Castle Golf Club, supported by a number of Sporting Celebrities.
