PICTURE GALLERY: Ballymena United Youth Academy prize nights

THERE was a double dose of prize nights for the youngsters of Ballymena United Youth Academy last week.

First up was the mini soccer section prize night in the Des Allen Suite, followed two nights later by the team prizegiving for the various age groups.

Among the players, parents and guests in attendance were United chairman Robert Cupples.

The excellent achievements of the season at team level were hailed, while individual achievements were also celebrated, including Aaron McGreggor, who has been called up to the County Londonderry Milk Cup Premier (under-16) side a year young.

The prizewinners were:

Under 10: Top Goalscorer - Lee O' Brien; Most promising - Mark Wilkinson; Players' Player - Lee O'Brien; Manager's Player - Mark Cochrane.

Under 11: Top Goalscorer - Peter Rankin; Most promising - Lee McAllister; Players' Player - Paddy Quigg; Manager's Player - Sam Armstrong.

Under 12: Top Goalscorer - Michael Hagan; Most promising - Josh Corry; Players' Player - Luke Calderwood; Manager's Player - Michael Hagan.
