Prize time for Carniny Youth FC

CARNINY Youth FC will be holding its annual awards night this Thursday 28th June at the Des Allen suite, Ballymena Showgrounds.

All age groups will be attending from under 10s through to Under 15s. There will be a light buffet meal available on the night and everyone is most welcome. Tickets are available now from all team mangers and are priced at £6.50 per person. It promises to be great night and the Des Allen suite looks set to be a sell out.

FOYLE CUP TRIALS

Foyle Cup-bound Carniny Under 10s (2002) are holding their Foyle Cup trials on Friday 29th 7pm-8.30pm at Carnhill playing field.

The trials are in preparation for the prestigious International competition based in County Londonderry from Tuesday 16th July. The young Carniny lads have been drawn against Finn Harps, Limavady and Derry side Trojans.

This is an open invitation to all players born 2002/2003 who feel they are of suitable standard to compete in such a large tournament which has seen teams playing from all over the world. Scouts from the SPL and English Premier League will be present to view talents on display.

CLUB CONDOLENCES

All at Carniny Amateur and Youth FC mourn the passing away of former QPR and Northern Ireland International, Alan McDonald last Saturday. Alan was a supporter of the club and a personal friend of former club coach the late Willie Beggs who passed away recently. Alan was a real gentleman and a true legend of football. He will be sorely missed.

‘SCHOOLS OUT’ FESTIVAL

Carniny Youth this week received a sponsorship cheque from Robinson’s Costcutter, Cullybackey Road, for the club’s annual ‘Schools Out Soccer Festival’ which began yesterday (Monday and runs until this Wednesday.

Robinsons Costcutter are the main sponsors of the clubs ‘junior’ section and the club greatly appreciate their support of their local club.
