The 11’s were joined by the under 12’s who racked up another high scoring win in the Lisburn league. The 13’s were involved in the game of the weekend a thrilling 4-4 draw against Warrenpoint. Both under 14’s were disappointing in falling to two defeats while the under 15’s put on a much better display losing out narrowly to Derry Colts.

In the second period they played some great passing football with Clough boy Jordan McMullan at the heart of everything.

Lewis Cleaver pulled off some great saves and the goals came from a Bobby Rainey double - his second after a fine passing move - Matthew Byrne and Blake Douglas with two trademark long range efforts and a great debut goal from the impressive Sean O’Callaghan.

BUYA 9, Lisburn Distillery 2: A top display from the National champions as they found their top gear, playing some brilliant passing football at times. The goals were well spread through the side as the under 12’s continue to develop all areas of their game.

BUYA 4, Warrenpoint 4: After early Ballymena pressure, Warrenpoint struck first, with a break away goal which was struck beautifully just outside the box.

Ballymena responded as Gillen fed McKay who fired past the keeper on 19 minutes.

Again Warrenpoint punished some very slack defending from another breakaway as Ballymena’s players went forward in search of goals and not playing their role in the team performance.

The Sky Blues levelled on 28 minutes, with a shot come cross from Meneely that looped over the keeper and nestled in the net.

The second half started brightly for Ballymena but with no danger the defence again failed to clear the ball and gifted Warrenpoint their third goal only for Ballymena to again level as Gillen blasted into the net in a crowded box.

BUYA 0, Ridgeway Rovers 8: The league champions came to the Showgrounds and took apart a disappointing United side. After conceding an early goal the wee Sky Blue heads went down and found it hard to recover.

UNDER-15

Derry Colts 1, BUYA 0: The decisive goal came after the Derry keeper had made a brilliant save from a penalty, after Calvin Purse had been hauled down.
