REACH FOR THE SKY

BALLYMENA United FC held a hugely successful first football coaching week last week.

The event was attended by 125 eager children wanting to learn from Irish league legends Glenn Ferguson, Lee Doherty, Norman Kelly, Wes Lamont plus many first team players and Youth Academy coaches.

It was a superb opportunity for the kids to meet and greet the senior management and players.

The kids were put through their paces each night learning all the basic fundamentals of football.

The goalkeepers were also well catered for with first team goalkeeper coach Wes Lamont giving them specialist training.

Ballymena United as a club would like to take this opportunity and thank all the kids and parents for supporting the event so well over the week - without their support this wouldn’t have been possible.

Organiser Clifford Adams has also thanked Gary Boyd from Ballymena Community Sports, Will McDowell (Green Pastures) for supplying equipment and especially Ballymena United Youth Academy who supported the event really well supplying 7/8 coaches a night and providing the use of their entire stock of equipment.
