Club chairman John White - the man known as ‘Mr Penarol’ - received a standing ovation for his speech, in which he talked about the history of the club, and thanked all the players and supporters, as well as sponsors down through the years.

There was a vast array of photographs and newspaper cuttings on display, and these were viewed all night long, with more than a chuckle or two on the way!

The club was also fortunate to have two Ballymena United signed shirts for the raffle, as well as a signed Southampton FC shirt, and an FC Penarol shirt that was signed by every player on the night.

Leighinmohr put up an excellent meal and the entertainment was supplied by ex player Herbie Linton.
