SML round-up: Homers into Junior Shield quarter-finals

THE Tower Blinds Ballymena Saturday Morning League will be assured of at least one representative in the semi-finals of the Paddy Power County Antrim Junior Shield.

Harryville Homers on Saturday became the second SML team to reach the last eight of the prestigious competition with a 5-2 win at Killough.

And in doing so, they set up an all-SML quarter-final tie with Randalstown Sky Blues, thereby ensuring the progress of one of those teams to the last four.

Meanwhile, on a morning where the fixture schedule was once again hit by overnight weather conditions, Division One leaders All Saints Old Boys were knocked out of the Ace Cup on penalties by Michelin.

At the top of Division Two, both leaders Ahoghill Thistle and second-placed North End kept up their promotion push with wins.
