But that’s exactly what happened as Woodside, languishing in the lower reaches of the third tier, thumped Raceview Athletic – unbeaten in Division Three this season – by six goals to one.

Trevor Richards was Woodside’s hero with a four-goal haul.

Elsewhere in the league’s premier knockout competition, results went largely as expected, although second division Carnlough Swifts ran Carniny Rangers close before Robert Young’s side eventually went through by the odd goal in five.
