Andy Erwin’s side take on Newington YC II at the Showgrounds 3G this Saturday, with a place in the final of the Linda Welshman Memorial Cup at stake.

Results from last weekend’s action in the Ballymena & Provincial League are:

Killymoon Rangers 4, Chimney Corner 2: Killymoon got off to a flying start after Dave McMullan scored on the 5th minute then two more goals scored by Mark Montague and Shea O’Neil on the 25 and 29th minute saw them three clear.

Corner got back into the game when Jamie Willighan converted a penalty on the 33rd minute then got a second goal after Craig Leeworthy scored on the 50th minute.

Corner then went all out for the equaliser but Killymoon grabbed the all important fourth goal when Cameron Stewart scored on the 76th minute.

Other results: Brantwood 1, Dunloy 5; Newtowne 9, Ballysillan Swifts 0; Magherafelt Sky Blues 2, Rathcoole FC 3.

Round two result: Desertmartin 1, Ballynure Old Boys 2.
