Wakehurst Strollers finished their Ballymena & Provincial League season on a winning note last week.
Jason Connolly’s side emerged victorious from theiur short trip to Clough Rangers Athletic in midweek, winning a manic game by six goals to four.
It was the first of two defeats in a week for Clough, who also lost at Mountainview on Saturday.
JUNIOR DIVISION TWO
Clough Rangers Athletic 4, Wakehurst Strolers 6: Peter Adams put Wakehurst in front on the 3rd minute then goals scored by Craig Logan and Gary Hamilton on the 20th and 27th minutes saw Clough in front.
Paul Gilchrist and Timmy Cunningham scored for Wakehurst on the 35th and 40th minutes putting their team in front only to see Bryan Logan score the equaliser for Clough on the 45th minute.
Peter Adams completed his hat-trick with goals on the 50th and 56th minutes putting Wakehurst two goals clear.
Bryan Logan cut the deficit with his second goal on the 68th minute before John Alexander completed the scoring for Wakehurst on the 75th minute.
Mountainview 3, Clough Rangers Athletic 1: Both teams had a chance or two to score before Billy Brown scored putting Mountainview in front on the 57th minute.
Clough replied to this with Ross Steele scoring the equaliser on the 59th minute. Both teams went looking for goals after this with Mountainview getting a brace of goals scored by Jon Adams and Nathan McIlwaine to win the game.
JUNIOR DIVISION THREE
Carnlough Swifts 4, Castle Star 7: Carnlough scorers in a high-scoring game were Ciaran Martin, Kenny Hastings, Padraig McDermott and Gary Montgomery.
