Carniny Youth teams travelled the short trip to Randalstown last Saturday to take part in the inaugural Randalstown youth Football Tournament.
It proved quite a successful day for the Ballymena club with the two P3/4 teams making the final together and they were so evenly matched that it took penalty kicks to decide the winner between the two teams.
In the U11/12 category the Jason Hunters team also won their final, not conceding a goal in all their matches.
In the 13/14 age group once again two Carniny teams ended up in the final, both made up of David Parker’s team and both teams opted to share the winners’ trophy.
Club officials Billy O’Flaherty and Ian Morton met this week with local McDonalds Restaurant franchisee Kadian O’Reilly to agree a continuation of the restaurant’s sponsorship of the club’s playing kits for the next season.
The club is eternally grateful to McDonalds for its continued support.
