That'll Doo nicely for Dunloy!

A GOAL from Steven Dooey four minutes from time saw Dunloy take maximum points out of their first game in Division Two with a 3-2 win at Shore Wanderers in the only game played on Saturday.

Shore started the game well taking the game to Dunloy, who started the game with 10 men, and took the lead on 23 minutes when Sean Gillen fed the ball into Geoff Nicholl who cut inside from the left and curled a right footed shot home from 25 yards out.

Dunloy who were now playing with 11 men started the second half on top and got the equaliser ten minutes in when good work from Steven Dooey set up Dermott Brady to score from close range.

The visitors were well in control now with Barry McGonigle controlling the game from midfield and it was his shot which caused the second goal when it was deflected into the path of Dermott Brady to fire home.

Shore dug in after this and got level with 15 minutes to go when Aaron Scott played the ball to Ciaran Toner who fired home from 18 yards out.

The game then flowed from end to end with either side likely to win it but it was Dunloy who struck the winner with four minutes to go when a long ball out of defence from Kieran Collins found Dooey who raced clear to slot home the winner.

With only 10minutes gone Eusebiu Condurache struck a 30 yard effort for Stars which found the top corner of the net.

This setback did not deter Olympic who hit back with an equaliser when Jordan McCullough scored with a long range effort which travelled in over a stranded Stars keeper.

Inter went straight up the pitch and score again with Mihai Pruna found the net from 20 yards. Olympic then got a lucky break when a clearance by a Star defender hit Aaron Wilkinson and deflected the ball into the net to make it 2-2. Inter restored their lead straight away when Yuraj Brisuda struck another excellent goal from 30 yards.

The second half saw Olympic chase an equaliser and it took until the 10minutes from time for them to snatch an equaliser when Aaron Wilkinson took a quick free kick to find the net from the edge of the box.

Waveney Swifts 6, Templepatrick 4: This was a brilliant advertisement for the Second Division with both teams completely committed to all out attack.

The visitors hit back with an equaliser 10 minutes later when Darren Buckley got on the end of a Stefan Getty cross to slide the ball home.

Templepatrick opened the brighter in the second half and took the lead 5 minutes in when on the break Stefan Getty squeezed the ball past Swifts keeper Richard Fulton who had come off his goal line and flattened him before he scored.

He had to be helped off and this was a major set back for Templepatrick but they were helped when Swifts were reduced to ten men by a sending off five minutes later.

Instead of spurring on the visitors it drove on Swifts who were given a life line when a Templepatrick defender put through his own goal when trying to direct a header back to his keeper. Three minutes later Swifts took the lead when Kenny Wright put in Rodney Beggs who fired home.
