Performance of the week for any of the sides under the Northend United/Wakehurst umbrella undeniably came from the under-16 team.

Tony Shaw’s team were in scintillating form in their 5-1 win over Newry side Ballybot Cetic.

Elsewhere in the Lisburn Youth League it was a great day for the Northend teams with no less than four of them recording good wins. Joe Kidd’s U11s lead the way with a comfortable 11-0 win over Oxford Sunnyside.

The U12s, back in action after a number of weeks layoff, had a good 6-3 win over Chimney Corner as they prepare for their NIBFA Cup match against Armagh City next week

Davy Wylie’s U13 team’s great form continued against Lisburn Distillery, winning 4-0, while the U14s again played some good football in their match against Downpatrick but inexperience still lets them down.
