United boys to ‘go Dutch’ over Easter

ALREADY down to travel to Sunderland in May to play the Premier League side’s Academy, Ballymena United under 12s are privileged to have been invited to Rotterdam over Easter, to play in a tournament organised by Dutch outfit RKSV Leonidas.

An unbelievable opportunity that came out of the blue for the boys, a squad of 13 and four coaches will travel.

What a chance for the boys to impress on the continent and take forward the name of Ballymena United to far off shores.

Many thanks go to David Brown and The Sports Hut in Cullybackey.

Meanwhile, the 12s suffered heartbreak to Linfield in their National cup semi final at the weekend.

The under 10s capped a marvellous week with a memorable victory over rivals Glentoran which followed on from their ‘derby’ success over rivals Carniny earlier in the week.

The 14s and 15s once again recorded victories, the 13s fought out a hard earned draw and the 11s were unlucky to lose to Lurgan in an entertaining match.
