Youth Academy sides left frustrated by weather again

ANOTHER weekend of action was lost due to the weather ensuring that all Ballymena United Youth Academy teams have a busy run in to the end of the season.

This coming weekend sees three Academy teams in Cup Quarter Final action as the Under 11s and Under 16s face Lisburn Youth while the Under 17s take on Crusaders.

Meanwhile, fund-raising for the under-10s’ trip to the Ayr Cup continued on Saturday night with a Night at the Races held at The Fountain Bar.

It proved to be a highly successful evening and the management of the team would like to thank all of those involved but chiefly the following sponsors; James McCloy Joinery, Declan Cassidy Plumbing and Heating Services, Philip Galloway Building and Joinery Services, Double Happiness Restaraunt, The Fountain Bar, The Mortgage Shop Ballymena, B.Douglas and Son Electricial Supplies and Hillview Chemicals.

A special mention also to the Paradise Supporters Club who made a substanial contribution on a night when funds raised exceeded all expectations. Many thanks again to all who contributed.
