Greenhills, Diamond thrash out thrilling draw as league begins

The top game of the week was in Cargan, where Greenhills and The Diamond battled to a 4-4 draw, which featured no less than six 180s, along with three big finishes.

In Division Two, there was a thrilling ‘derby’ where Fountain Arrows almost let slip a 4-0 lead, eventually only securing a 5-3 win over Fountain Bar in the final game.

Best indivudal performance this week was a 13-dart leg from Rodney McAleese, followed by: 14 - Davy Martin, 15 - Jason Mooney, John Elder (Drifters), 17 - Rab Lynn, 18 - Leonard McKeegan, Dean Kerr, 19 - Paddy Coyles, Geoffrey Matthews, 20 - Roy Gilchrist, Gabriel Kerr, Rodney McAleese, Ashley Rainey, John Elder (Drifters), Darnell McCrory, Noel Craig, 21 - Liam Quinn, Gabriel Kerr, Davy Martin, Darren McNeill, Ryan Gault.

Darren McAuley (Clough Rangers) had the week’s best finish with a 118 checkout, followed by: 100- Davy Martin (The Diamond) and Gabriel Kerr (Greenhills), 96 - Darwin McCallister (Clough Rangers), 83 - Ryan Gault (The Diamond).

Colin Penny, Liam Quinn, Davy Martin, Rodney McAleese, Ryan Gault, John Robinson, Ashley Rainey, Jason Mooney and Paul Rock all hit 180s.
