The fastest cars on the local racing scene form part of a four formula meeting that also includes the ever popular Stock Rods.

Another tough qualifying campaign lies ahead for the National Hot Rod racers.

Defending Northern Ireland Champion John Christie will start amongst the favourites once again, with Portadown pair Gary Woolsey and Stewart Doak also expected to figure prominently.

2005 World Champion Keith Martin is another top contender, while Adam Maxwell and Mark Heatrick will be attempting to nail down one of the 5 qualifying places on offer at next year’s World Final.

Friday evening will be the final opportunity for the Stock Rod drivers to try their cars at Raceway before their World Championship on August 24/25 and the likes of Victor McAfee, Micky McFall, Frankie Lynn, Chris Gordon and British Champion Raymond Harper will all be hoping for a good display before the World showdown.
