The Braid ladies lost the first two games of the season however since then they have been in great form and Limavady were the latest team to fall victims of the Ballymena charge.

Grace Henry, Jennifer Wilson, Erin Smith and Donna McCloy made the best possible start when they picked up a count of 4 shots on the first ends. Over the next few ends the Braid rink gradually increased their advantage and another count of 4 shots on the 10th end gave the Ballymena ladies an 8 shot lead. The remainder of the game was evenly contested and 8 shots was still the difference with the final score 24-16.

Jean Rainey, Pat Allen, Linda McCullough and Jennifer Dowds found the Limavady rink skipped by N Marshall hard to shake off over the early part of the game and with 6 ends played the scores were tied at 4-4. The game changed over the next 6 ends when the Braid ladies outscored the visitors to open up an 8 shot lead. The last few ends were much closer but a count of 4 shots on the final end saw the Ballymena rink claim a well deserved 21-12 victory.

Barbara Burnett, Maree Houston, Megan Wilson and Barbara Cameron got off to a great start against D Baird and led 9-2 with 7 ends. Six ends later the Limavady rink had closed the gap but Ballymena rink won 3 of the next 4 ends and even though the visitors won the final end it could not take the gloss off an excellent 19-9 win for Ballymena.
