Lady Captain’s Day success at Galgorm

A total of 48 lady members were joined by the Lady Captain’s invited guests for a fine day’s golf, when happily, the weather improved as the day went on.

The Lady Captain’s prize was won by Bernie Daly with an impressive score of 42 points.

Section A winner was Denise McCosh with 37 points and Runner up was Susan McCarroll with 36 points, on a better back nine from Elaine Fitzsimmons.

Section B winner was Patricia Blaney with 38 points and Runner up was Dorie McKeown, who also took home the prize for Nearest the Pin at the seventh hole.

The gross prize went to Kerry Dunlop with 25 gross points and the Committee prize was won by Julie Ann Kyle.

The award for Best Back nine went to Alison Black with 21 points and Best front nine went to Lorraine Clarke. The prize for the longest drive on the tenth hole went to Jenny Carroll.

The lady members’ Sixteen hole competition was won by Karen Patton on 27 points and the Visitors’ Prize went to Hilary Brady with 32 points.

Past Captains’ prize went to Wilma Bloomer on 33 points and the Men’s 9 hole competition was won by Malcolm McIlroy with 20 points.
