Mid-Antrim Hunt Club launch 2012 Horse Show

MID-ANTRIM Hunt Club are delighted to announce their Annual Horse Show which is to take place on Saturday, July 7 at Ballee Playing Fields, Ballymena.

The official launch took place at Ross Park Hotel in Kells on Monday evening where refreshments and a bit of light-hearted craic was enjoyed by members of the Club, Sponsors and Friends.

This will be the third year the Club will use the Ballee Facility, which has proved popular with competitors having easy access from the M2 /A26 excellent parking facilities and good jumping surfaces. Last year the introduction of Working Hunter classes resulted in a record attendance, a challenging course having been built by Master Andy Hamilton who took every opportunity to combine the natural vegetation with some creative fences.

The Working Hunter Classes will commence with starter stakes for the younger pony riders up to open Horse Classes and all three arenas will commence at 9.30pm.

Course builders for the event will be the Jess family who are re-known for their expertise in this field and who will travel to London later in July to build for the Olympics. Mid-Antrim Hunt will wish the Jess family well and are delighted to see them carry out this role on behalf of the equestrian fraternity here in the Province.
